A group of downstate business owners on Monday warned of dire consequences should a $15 per-hour minimum wage hike which passed the Senate last week become law without changes.

State Rep. David McSweeney (R-Barrington Hills) announced a House resolution opposing any moves to put a state tax on retirement income.  It is a response to the economic plan recently laid out by the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, one of the state’s leading business groups.
